Think of all the dead animals
That fan out behind the average American
In a decades long trail
Of blood & gore
Just so he/she can sit
In his/her Lazy Boy
& watch this:

It's last call at the Mayan Bar & Grill
& humanity is long passed its "best by" date.

Perhaps the MSM has always been this way, but it's in hyperdrive right now. This Green Bay ref call thing has gone hyper-viral. People are talking about it everywhere. There's no more ice in the Arctic, but shit, that don't matta, da refs done fucked up the call.

Where the fuck are we? I feel sometimes that this is just a bad dream and I'll wake up and laugh it off, but this is not one of those days. No, today, I know it's not a dream. I know this is fer real, and those of us who see this shit for what it is are doomed to the same fate as though who can't see it, and won't see, and even if they do see it, wallow in it unabashedly.

Still, the cracks are popping through the fragile veneer as we speak. The disintegration of the professional sports is occurring with greater rapidity, and the airlines are starting to unravel. I have a few key benchmarks that have to be met before I know collapse is getting serious. One of them is the planes stop flying over my house....and stop flying, period. No one can claim we are collapsing whilst all these planes are still in the sky. That doesn't wash. So, that 's one benchmark, and the others are rather obvious....food shortages in the grocery markets and intermittent utility services and gas shortages. We're not there yet, but we're close, I believe, and man oh man, when that time comes, and it's coming, we ain't seen nothing yet.

The Best Is Yet To Come.

That Fucker got the best of it, then exited before it all came crashing down. You and I will have had neither, but then again, who said life is fair? I suppose we could have entered this world as a Congolese mining Gold as a slave with a life expectancy of twenty back-breaking years of hard-labor servitude.

I'm sorry, that's just me being all negative again. I should learn to see the glass as half full instead of half empty. I read this, and I've come to my senses. There is a rainbow at the end of this storm of economic discontent.

Report: Americans feel more confident in economy

WASHINGTON (AP) — Americans are more confident in the economy than they have been in seven months, an encouraging sign for President Barack Obama with six weeks left in the presidential race.

A new survey of consumer confidence rose Tuesday to its highest level since February on expectations that hiring will soon pick up. And a separate report showed home values rising steadily, signaling sustained improvement in housing.

"This is like an opinion poll on the economy without the political parties attached," said John Ryding, chief economist at RDQ Economics, a consulting firm. The confidence survey "says people are feeling better. If so, they are less likely to vote for change."

The Conference Board's index of consumer confidence shot up in September. The jump surprised many economists because the most recent hiring and retail sales figures have been sluggish.

Ah, I can breath again, and feel comforted in knowing my children will live comfortably and pleasantly into old age. There is a God after all, and that God is righteous and good. Things are looking up, and this song is now playing in my head again versus the Little Green Man.

Maybe we should form a club like this douchebag. Notice on the right hand side of his blog his "Honorary Members". One of them is our friend, Sandy Krolick. Go figure....Funny That!!! I wouldn't be surprised if these twats aren't on the Gubmint dole.....you know, misdirecting any angst that may percolate through the System that was previously unaccounted for....so you take any of it, and diffuse it before it has any chance of coalescing into anything formidable. It's just too perfect.

And, we can start writing books and selling them and taking the proceeds and invest those proceeds in Gold, and the Stock Market, and Diamond Mines in South Africa or Corn, because it's important to recognize as much return on your capital before this whole thing collapses, don't you know. There's a Cult for everything....even collapse....brought to you by your friendly intelligence services.

Shrub, sports is their mental escape hatch. I've actually seen it in action with a Repub co-worker who usually loves to pro-Repub me.

After a tiny harangue where I gave him the highlights of the Romney $50,000 a plate commencement speech + the Santorum 'Repubs are dumb' speech
+ the Missouri legitimate rape I've flunked biology story + the Iowa I've never heard of pregnancy coming from statutory rape story

he got this puckered pained look on his face & completely changed the subject to football.

It was like watching a computer reboot after a virus infects it.
